Division 1 Match vs Southern, 1st April
Start of a new year and same old problems with numbers and actually getting guys to training.
Down to Southern with the bare minimum of 15 players but a great attitude from all of them and the defence and heart shown in the first half was next level!
Some huge hits from Sione Fangatua Tuitopou, Harley Loveridge-Seymour and Logan Stevenson had the opposition thinking twice.
Despite this, Southern managed two tries in the first half. Second half and still plenty of fire from the boys and before long Kadyn Luke was over for a try converted by Scott Anderson. 10 - 7.
The lack of numbers really started to tell with the boys fatiguing while Southern had the luxury of rolling players on and off. Despite the scoreline threatening to blow out the boys stuck to their guns with Bradley Knowles literally flying over the line scoring the last try of the game before Southern closed out with a penalty. Final score 30 - 14.

With some numbers due to turn up if we play with that sort of attitude all season we will be a serious threat at the business end.
